CORR Grain Systems Inc. is recruiting a full-time accountant.  The position will be based out of our business location near Lumsden, SK.

Job responsibilities:

Provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports.
Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Document financial transactions by entering account information.
Summarize current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
Prepares payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
Complies with all financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
General A/R and A/P tasks.
Other duties as assigned.

Skills required:

·        Strong organizational skills, self motivator and self learner.

·        Ability to work unsupervised.

·        Strong communication skills.

·        Experience with business accounting systems and inventory management.

·        Extensive Microsoft Office experience.

·        Corporate finance and reporting.

The salary of this position will be dependant upon the successful candidates’ experience and education.

Education/experience required:

·        Minimum of 5-10 years experience with accounting/finance; and or

·        Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

·        CPA designation is an asset but not required.
