BinSense 3G Network Upgrade in Canada
Canadian cellular providers are phasing out 3G networks.
If your BinSense system relies on 3G connectivity, you may require a BinSense 3G network upgrade to maintain uninterrupted bin monitoring and data transmission.
Across Canada, carriers are reallocating spectrum to 4G LTE and 5G networks. As a result, older 3G-based BinSense Master and Remote units may lose cellular communication. CORR Grain Systems is helping customers transition to LTE hardware to ensure continued performance and reliability.
Why the BinSense 3G Sunset Matters
The BinSense 3G sunset means devices operating on legacy 3G modems will eventually lose connectivity. This may impact:
- Master units installed in 2018 or earlier
- Remote units installed in 2021 or earlier
- Systems currently operating on 3G modems
Without a BinSense LTE upgrade, affected systems may stop transmitting bin temperature and moisture data.
